Writers Guidelines
We are seeking stories with varied, erotic themes for upcoming titles. Most books contain 20 stories. Stories should be between 2000 and 4000 words.
Content: We are looking for variety in the themes with a high standard of writing. All sexual acts must be consensual and legal. These stories are aimed at female readers so must celebrate female sexuality in all its forms and never denigrate women. Variety is the spice of life so giving your story an unusual setting, time period or style will help your chances of being accepted. We do accept stories from male writers and they can have a male POV but PLEASE remember they must celebrate female sexuality and be empowering to women.
There is a £50 payment for each story which will be paid on publication of the title. Accent Press will retain publication and audio copyright for five years. A further payment of £20 will be made if the story is recorded for audio.
This is a new imprint and the initial payment is not large, but we do anticipate offering increased fees as the Xcite range develops.
Due to the volume of submissions I regret that I will not be able to return rejected manuscripts so please do keep a copy of your work. Please send submissions as a WORD attachment to your email, NOT within the content of your message.
Format:
Double spaced, 12 font and Times New Roman
Cover page must include your name, address and contact details PLUS your pseudonym if you are using one.
