Shipping & Returns


Postage & Packaging

We at plata are committed to ensuring you receive your order as promptly as possible. Once the order is received by us we will endeavour to have it shipped to you to the stated address within 2-3 working days. We use The Royal Mail Recorded Delivery postal service to UK addresses.

We offer FREE DELIVERY to all UK addresses when the order is over £30.00 and £3.00 when the order is under £30.00.

Packages to Europe will be charged at £4.95 and packages to the Rest of the World at £5.95.

Unfortunately it is not possible to have items sent to an address other than the billing address.

Upon receipt of your order, an e-mail confirmation will be sent to the e-mail address provided. Please keep this e-mail safe, as it contains your order reference number which you may need at a later date.

All items purchased from plata will be beautifully wrapped in a cloth pouch or in one of our elegant jewellery presentation boxes.

Availability and Despatch

We always aim to have all items in stock, however given the handmade nature of the products, occasionally some items may be temporarily out of stock.

If the product is out of stock you will not be able to purchase the item but you can fill in the online enquiry form about the item availability. Please include the product name.

If an item has sold out between our scheduled stock update, and an order has just been placed, then we will contact you and advise you of the next available delivery date or provide a refund.


Late or Damaged Packages

We endeavour to ensure that your parcel is not delayed, however occasionally problems do occur with Royal Mail. You should receive your order within 5 working days, however if your order does not arrive within this period of time please e-mail us at customerservices@plata.co.uk or use our online enquiry form.

Please remember to include you order reference number in all correspondence.

If the parcel arrives damaged in any way we should be notified within 24hrs to customerservices@plata.co.uk or by telephone on 02828278011.

Customer Returns

We at plata hope that you will be 100% satisfied with your purchase. However, we will happily exchange an item or refund the value of goods sold, if your purchase does not meet your expectations, under the following conditions:

• Return of goods must be claimed within 7 days of delivery to you.
• A valid receipt (original or copy) must be enclosed for all returns.
• Goods for exchange must be in “as sold” condition, unused and unaltered.
• Goods should be returned by registered post at the customer´s expense.
• For hygiene reasons we do not exchange or refund earring purchases.


Please e-mail us at customerservices@plata.co.uk or fill in our online enquiry form before sending the goods, to advise us of the product for return, the purchase date and reference number.

Please note that items for return will need to be protectively packaged when being sent to us. Please retain a proof of posting.
